Sylvera is an independent ratings provider for the voluntary carbon market (VCM), providing transparent, ongoing and reliable assessments of the performance of nature-based carbon offset projects. By applying machine learning algorithms to satellite data and its own proprietary data sets (developed with scientists from leading research organisations including UCL, UCLA and the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory), Sylvera accurately assesses the carbon performance of projects around the world. This, combined with evaluation of co-benefits, additionality and permanence, provides a holistic overall performance rating at the project level.
